Woman's Missionary Union

WMU Woman's Missionary Union was Founded in 1888, is an auxiliary of the

Southern Baptist Convention that seeks to equip adults, youth, children

and preschoolers with missions education to become radically involved

in the mission of God. Headquartered in Birmingham, Ala., WMU is a

nonprofit organization that offers an array of missions resources including

conferences, ministry ideas and models, volunteer opportunities, curriculum

for age-level organizations, leadership training, books and more.

As we continue on our journey of discovering and following God's call, the

word mission will play a greater role in describing our understanding of God's

call and how God wants us to live each day. The more we read and understand the

depth of meaning found in this word, mission, the more excited we'll be about the

path it will take us as followers of Christ.
