CHURCH HISTORY
On February 19,1978, after much prayer, 50 people met for the purpose of organizing a new Baptist church. Months later, a Constitution Day ceremony was held for Trace Ridge Baptist Church at the Ridgeland Community Center. There were 94 charter members. Initially, the church met in double-wide trailers. Ground breaking ceremonies were held in July 1978. The first building was completed in December 1978. Two additional structures were subsequently added .
Trace Ridge Baptist Church was organized to reach the growing population in the Ridgeland area with a "Ministry of Caring for People in meeting their spiritual needs." With the Great Commission as its directive, the church continues to serve people in the Ridgeland area and supports Baptist missions worldwide.
...Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Matthew 28:19-20
